Unit E4 Reno Part 2: Painting & Flooring

July 5 and back to the grind! Jeff, Courtney and I went to Home Depot first thing in the morning and picked up supplies to start the laminate flooring. Erick went straight to the condo from Courtney’s and finished up some painting/started prepping for the flooring. We chose a Pergo Laminate wooden flooring, in the hopes that it would be more durable in the unit, especially since we planned to rent it out. We packed up the car (to the max!) and headed to the condo!

Condo Before & After Pictures

The Linderhof Condo was such a labor of love. We are (still!) so excited to be able to have and share our space in the White Mountains, and are thankful we were able to do so much of the work ourselves with the help of friends. When we first saw the condo it was very vintage and needed a lot of repairs, but we were excited for the opportunity to have something so special up north, so the price point seemed more important to us than the workload.

Unit E4 Part 1: The Purchase

So, as we saved our money Erick continued to dream of owning something in the White Mountains. When Erick came to me and told me he had seen an interesting listing at the Linderhof, I was excited--my dream of returning seemed like an option! The listing was for a 650 square foot condo that needed work, but at a price point we could afford.
